The 'leave no words unsaid' approach of the Wardlaws has certainly led to a lot of stand offs so far in Our First Home, but it's also offered a look into the lives of a family who rarely take anything to heart.

From Mick and Tim trading words and butting heads, to Kathy and Robyn failing to share the same design tastes, nothing is never easy with the Wardlaws.

And yet despite that, they've taken on massive challenges with their renovation tasks to date and never backed down from the tough stuff. They might argue, but in doing so their renovated spaces have all been well received. With a pow-wow almost every second scene, they've still pulled together before every room reveal, no matter the timeframe or job at hand to get the work done.

So far, the Wardlaws have put together two bedrooms (one for each gender), converted attic space into a second living area, and remodelled their garage, backyard, and added a tiny house onto the back deck as another living space.
