What made you decide to get involved in OFH?
Earlier this year we were praying and asking God for an adventure. Something extraordinary and so when this opportunity came up we were amazed and to be honest I am as surprised as anyone that we are all here.
What are you the most excited about?
The opportunity to do something that is outside the box, almost random but we are loving every minute of it.
What are you most nervous about?
I guess maybe letting everyone in the team down. I don’t worry too much about what other people think but my family is super important.
What is the best thing about your teammates?
They are my family and I couldn’t think of anyone else in the world that I would rather spend time with.
What is the most annoying thing about your teammates?
It is amazing how often they are right and I am wrong.
Who in your family do you think is going to find this challenge the hardest and why?
Maybe me? I have to manage my various health issues.
What was your first impression of your son-in-law?
That Matt was a fun loving, impulsive young man. Not always thinking things through before he acted. Wondered if he was right for Amy. But now very happy he has become not only a son but a good friend.

Matt’s physical strength.
What do your friends/workmates think of getting into this challenge?
Mostly they seem incredulous!

A café we set up on the Hauraki Plains 20yrs ago. We themed it on the dairy industry and then owned and operated it for 3 years. It was very successful.
