What made you decide to get involved in OFH?

Our son Tim and his girlfriend Robyn entered us into the competition without us knowing!

What are you the most excited about?

The experience of us all working on this project together and the anticipation of our potential to succeed. I am so looking forward to this personal challenge also.

What are you most nervous about?

Not having enough time to complete our rooms. Being under pressure to perform in such tight time frames. Having a melt down and knowing I’m being filmed and watched!

What is the best thing about your teammates?

We all have our strengths to bring to the project.

What is the most annoying thing about your teammates?

I try not to focus on negative stuff.

Who in your family do you think is going to find this challenge the hardest and why?

I could be the one that finds it the most difficult. I will miss home, our dog Izzy and the ability to watch out for my dad.

What was your first impression of Robyn?

I can’t honestly remember the first time we met Rob. I knew Robyn’s younger sister through school and stood on the sideline of netball with her mum and dad long before we met. I only heard “stories” from her Mum.

What do your friends/workmates think of getting into this challenge?

They are all very excited and supportive! For me they are the reason I said yes to the challenge. We have had so many offers of help.

What is the most ambitious piece of DIY you have ever done?

Turning our basement into a living space for our kids.

Describe your DIY style?

Definitely eclectic and I love the power of colour.

What do you think is your secret weapon in this competition?

Perseverance and determination. Intention to stay positive.

Which task(s) of the renovation do you think you will excel in?

Colour and design are my areas of interest.

Which task(s) of the renovation are you most worried about?

None – I’m prepared to have a go at anything.

What is the defining quality that you bring to the renovation?

My eye for detail. I am a bit of a perfectionist at times, which can drive people crazy!
