What made you decide to get involved in OFH?

We had talked about buying a house as a family and doing it up to flick off to all get some extra money so when we heard about the show it was perfect.

What are you the most excited about?

Getting to spend money on things that I might not be able to afford or buy usually.

What are you most nervous about?

Not knowing what I’m doing. This is completely out of my comfort zone so hopefully I will learn lots.  

What is the best thing about your teammates?

We are all on the same page with our ideas and the rest of my team are all family so hopefully we can work well together.

What is the most annoying thing about your teammates?

Mick tends to talk over the top of people. Kathy is often running late. Tim can be very forgetful.

Who in your family do you think is going to find this challenge the hardest and why?

Me – I haven’t done anything like this before so it’s going to be a major challenge.

What was your first impression of Tim's parents?

I thought Mick and Kathy were lovely people when I first met them. Tim had always spoken highly of them.

What is Kathy and Mick's biggest assets?

Mick has been a builder for a long time so hopefully that will be an advantage. Kathy has an eye for turning “junk” into treasure and loves working with colour.

What do your friends/workmates think of getting into this challenge?

Everyone I know is so excited for me. Some even more excited than I am.

What is the most ambitious piece of DIY you have ever done?

I have never done any DIY.

Describe your DIY style?

As I have never done any DIY I am yet to discover my style. Hopefully the show will help with that.

What do you think is your secret weapon in this competition?

Tim and Mick – they have worked together before and are both confident in what they do.

Do you have any DIY nightmare memories from your childhood?

No.

Every parent makes sacrifices for their children, what’s one yours have made for you?

Waking up early on winter mornings to take me to netball.

Which task(s) of the renovation do you think you will excel in?

I think painting will be my strength because no one else will want to do it.

Which task(s) of the renovation are you most worried about?

Most of it. I will be relying on the boys to tell me what to do and help me.  

What is the defining quality that you bring to the renovation?

I am quite an organised person so hopefully that will help.
